تقع في الضفة اليسرى لنهر بيقاوا Bieigawa،في منطقة هوكايدو في أقصى شمال اليابان،
ويوجد حولها الكثير من الينابيع الساخنة,
وعند سفح جبل هوكايدو البركة الزرقاء فهي لامعة بشكل غير طبيعي مع جذوع الأشجار
البارزة فوق سطح الماء، فيجعل لها مظهر ساحر.
